Xiaoliuqiu is Taiwan's only coral reef island — warm year-round, with crystal-clear water, excellent visibility, and sea turtles around every corner. October through December is peak diving season: dry, sunny weather and a winter water temperature of 25°C (77°F). Just a 20-minute boat ride from Taiwan's main island, Xiaoliuqiu is both a perfect freediving destination and a quiet place to slow down, away from the noise of city life.
