Welcome back, fellow coffee wanderer. If Part 1 of our island café crawl left you caffeinated and craving more, you’re in the right place. Part 2 is all about the hidden gems, ocean-view slow sips, and that one barista who hand-roasts beans in a clay pot (you’ll meet him soon).
This second round is where Xiaoliuqiu’s coffee scene gets even more interesting. Let’s dive in.
Qiqi Li Café (柒柒里咖啡) – Sip With a View

Perched high above the coastline, Qiqi Li Café is one of those places where time forgets to hurry. The view? Just endless blue, boats gliding lazily between Xiaoliuqiu and the mainland like they’ve got nowhere better to be.
It’s the kind of café that whispers: slow down. Bring a book, sip something warm, and let your eyes drift out to the horizon until your brain fully enters island mode. The coffee is solid, the breeze is real, and the moment you sit down-it’s yours.

Seaside Café – Island Passion in Every Pour

Just a short walk from the ferry, Seaside Café is one of those places that makes you think, “Maybe I could live here.” Jason, the owner, is a former Taipei barista who now roasts his beans island-style, in a clay pot. Yep, you read that right. The man’s got passion and a wicked palate.
His pour-overs are next-level, but the real surprise is the passionfruit iced coffee. Sounds strange, tastes like a tropical daydream. The vibe? Chill. The music? Low and mellow. And the breeze? Always perfectly timed. It’s the kind of café that quietly becomes your favorite without even trying.

Islet Lemonade – Quirky, Cozy, Cat-Friendly

Islet Lemonade isn’t just a café – it’s a whole mood. Colorful walls, playful decor, and soft island light that makes your lemonade glow just right for a photo (we’ve all done it). It’s one of those places where you come in for a drink and end up staying for way too long.
Grab a seat, order something citrusy and cold, and say hi to Money – the café’s four-legged boss and most photogenic staff member. It’s the perfect post-dive cooldown spot or a lazy afternoon hang. Come for the vibe, stay for the cat. Obviously.

Unknown Coffee – A Hidden Gem for Coffee Lovers

It’s easy to drive right past Unknown Coffee—but if you do, you’re missing out on one of the most dialed-in cups on the island. The owner studied in Seattle (yes, that Seattle), and he brought back the kind of nerdy coffee obsession I absolutely love. Every bean is roasted with intention, every pour-over is treated like an art form.
It’s calm, it’s clean, and it somehow makes you want to slow down and take notes on your own life. The ice-drip coffee? Chef’s kiss. And if you’re the plug-in-and-work type, every bar seat has its own outlet. It’s the kind of place that gets better the longer you sit there.

Manban – Your Early Morning Lifesaver

Manban opens at 7:30 AM, which basically makes it a local hero if you ask me. On an island where most cafés are still snoozing, this one’s already handing you your first caffeine hit while the dive boat is loading.
It’s nothing fancy-but that’s the charm. A solid brew, a quick smile from the staff, and boom-you’re out the door, cup in hand, ready for whatever the island throws at you. Lifesaver? Yes. Overachiever? Also yes.

See you out there, mug in hand.
